The Bible Society of Kenya (BSK) unveiled a revolutionary tool to strengthen families: The 100 Steps Family Bible on April 20th, 2024, at All Saints Cathedral Church in Nairobi.
This Bible promised a journey through scripture in 100 manageable steps, designed to ignite a flame of faith within families. It’s a companion, a roadmap designed to bond and bring your family closer together through faith.
With 100 easy-to-follow steps, the family will explore the Bible’s timeless wisdom drawn from
- A passage from the Bible to read together.
- An illustration to observe and speak about
- An activity to do or something to think about
- Questions for reflection
- Dialogue and facts about the background of the Bible.
The launch was attended by approximately 170 people most of whom were children from Nairobi and its environs. Reverend Charles Kariuki, the Guest Speaker shared a sermon where he noted that God places us in families because these are workshops where people are prepared to be agents of change. He added that children belong to God and parents are stewards.
The launch wasn’t just a ceremony; it was a celebration. The official unveiling ceremony was conducted by Church leaders present who prayed for the Bible and dedicated the Book to be used by families.
