Hannah, Elkanah’s wife was barren, and her rival Peninnah used to provoke her because she did not have a child. Hannah went to God in prayer and petitioned him for a child. God remembered Hannah and gave her the child., Samuel, in response to her persistence in prayer.

Hannah responded to God, my heart exults in the Lord, my horn is exalted in the Lord. My mouth derides my enemies because I rejoice in your salvation. (1 Sam 2:1). God rewards those who seek him diligently. Samuel was not an ordinary child; he became a great prophet. He was a man of integrity and was honoured throughout his life.

I could be that you are in a situation and your enemies are laughing at you like Peninah laughed at Hannah. Don’t give up; God is faithful to his word and answers prayer. When Hannah felt abandoned and lonely, she pleaded with God and was remembered, and her tears were wiped away. God is a mighty deliverer so don’t give up, His solution will be better than what you imagine, and He comes at the right time.

Lord help me to seek You and trust You in all circumstances. Amen
