Audio Bible beneficiary

We thank God for a successful and impactful monitoring of the FCBH programme in Kakamega County.

We are grateful for every provision that made this exercise possible. We are thankful for Bishop Amos Andala, a BSK member and Chairman of Kakamega Branch who has a heart for people and for God’s work. We visited Bukusu, Tiriki, Idaho, Isukha and Oluluhya speakers who have been using the audio Bibles since 2019.

Testimonies

“I have lived all my life childless. The pain of waiting on God has been very tough. I lost my husband and l now live alone. The only friend l have is the audio bible which l have to listen when l go for fellowship. God is the husband to the widows like me. He is close to me through this Bible. As l listen you have no idea the peace l get.” Catherine Bhunoro, Isikhi Village

I was an outcast from the community after l lost six children. Everyone thought l was cursed but praise be to God who healed my heart and the very community that cast me away is the same community that l share the Word with. Psalm 23 has been such an encouragement.  Esther Khasoa Isikhi village

I understood the impact of sin through the book of Romans and l got born again through this Proclaimer! Am now a Sunday school teacher. Phanice Lundenyi, Isikhi village

“I got married to a drunkard man and he used to come home angry, and this made me angry as well and l would shout at him. I would tell myself l have options to be married by someone else who is sober, but l still knew this is the man l had loved and my perspective was affirmed when l encountered the audio bible! God in His word taught me to pray for him and be slow to speak and to anger. I have kept praying for him to be delivered from the sinful life.  Am still hopeful because God does not lie.” Alice Baraza, 63, Tembwa village.

“I used to consult witch doctors before l encountered God through the audio bible. In fact, l was also a witch and not acknowledging God’s power at all.” I lost my husband. Nobody could help me. Even my fellow witch doctors. I sought God when a lady welcomed me to Ushirika where l found them listening to Lubukusu proclaimer. Slowly by slowly, l started encountering Jesus and even got born again. Today, l pray and seek God in everything.” Mary Nelima, 56, Tembwa village.

“The audio Bible made me realize how l had made my family suffer.” Proverbs 6:16-19 was the gamechanger! When l put on the radio (he calls the audio radio), my mother and siblings laughed at me. I didn’t understand until they said l was all those 7 things that God hate. I got drunk and did all those terrible things, but God brought me to repentance that very day my family spoke up. This Audio Bible is a blessing! I now lead prayers before any event is held in our family. “Joseph Nghoi, 45, Kambiri village.

“After listening to the audio Bible, l knew God really fight my battles. This was after being accused of rape and was wrongfully imprisoned.” Peter Ng’ome, Shivakala Village

“Listening to the audio Bible has helped me to assess situations and approach them with a sober mind and considering consequences before jumping into conclusions hurriedly.” Samuel Mukoho, 53, Mukada village

“I used to be a criminal until l joined an FCBH group and God turned my life and saved me. I would be in jail now had l not met the Christians in Shivakala. I am now a group leader.” Geoffrey Ingulushi, Mukada village
