Participants in the prayer session

The Society held a successful prayer day for Bible work in Kenya and globally. The event was held virtually on May 8th 2021 and brought together people from different regions to pray for the course of the Bible. The participants thanked God for His faithfulness and sustenance thus far despite the challenges brought about by the COVID 19 pandemic. The gathering was encouraged to continue putting their trust in God who remains in control of the universe and everything in it.

The theme of the day was drawn from Psalm 4:1 (Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have given me relief when I was in distress. Be gracious to me and hear my prayer! ESV)

The participants in one accord prayed that despite all that people across the globe are going through, they will be able to access the Scriptures and find messages to uplift, encourage, strengthen, and give them hope.

Prayers were made for Church leaders that God would guide them as they lead believers amidst the COVID 19 pandemic and that God would sustain his people, his Church, Bible ministries as they navigate this season of lack and difficulty. Members prayed that the Lord would continue to use the Church to reach out and provide encouragement, hope, comfort to a hurting through his Word

Participants also committed the work of Bible Society of Kenya and other Bible Societies globally in God’s hands, praying for sustenance and guidance in their work.

Participants were urged to continue praying for the nation and the world at large.
