Online Bible reading marathon progressing well

Bible Reading Marathon is an initiative by the Forum for Bible Agencies (FOBA) to encourage people to read the Bible in their languages.

The official opening session of this year’s Bible Reading Marathon was led by Bishop Emeritus of Deliverance Church Dr. William Tuimising at All Saints Cathedral Church on November 22/11/2022. He appreciated FOBA for organizing the Bible reading marathon noting that it is a good culture that christians should emulate. He officially opened the marathon by reading the first book of the Bible, Genesis Chapter 1.

The gathering was attended by representatives from FOBA who proceeded to read the Bible after the official opening. Thereafter, the marathon proceeded online.

FOBA members include Bible Translation and Literacy, Scripture Union, Theo Vision, Life Words, Biblica, Partnership in Literacy Ministry (PALM), Global Recording Network, and Bible Society of Kenya. The marathon is held for five consecutive days and the Bible was read non-stop.

Christians from all over the Country participated in the marathon. This is an annual event aimed at bringing believers together to read the Word. Kudos to all who participated!
