Members following discussions keenly at the meeting

The Bible Society of Kenya held a successful Special General Meeting on February 22nd, 2020 at ACK Guest House in Nairobi. Members from different branches across the County turned up to attend the event.

The Guest speaker for the day was Rev. Ambrose Nyangao, Senior Pastor at Parklands Baptist Church who spoke on the importance of oneness as believers. Reading from John 17 he highlighted Jesus prayer for the Church that they may be one; “that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me” (John 17:21). Rev. Nyangao emphasized that where there is unity God commands a blessing. He challenged the gathering to foster unity among each other as this will spur the growth of the mission of the Society.

During this meeting, discussions were held on the proposed constitution. Members had a chance to interact with the document and their views incorporated. We thank God that the proposed constitution was unanimously passed in the meeting.

A display area was set where members’ queries could be answered by a team from BSK. This enabled the members to have a better understanding of the Society’s activities, how to be involved and support programmes and activities.

The General Secretary Mrs. Elizabeth Muriuki appreciates all BSK members, Board, and staff for making the Society what it is today. She urged the members to continue praying and supporting Bible work so that the word of God will be available to all people.
