Bible Society of Kenya works with Churches to implement the Programme for Pastoral Instruction (PPI) and Open the Book programmes. The Churches provide volunteers that are trained in the two programmes to teach children God’s Word in primary schools.

Deliverance Church Eastleigh is one of the Churches that has been reaching out to children in schools in the area which is dominated by various religions.

On Friday, 20th May 2022 a team from the Bible Society of Kenya carried out a monitoring and evaluation exercise of the two programs in Eastleigh. The programme has 17 active volunteers, and it runs once a week on Fridays in three schools reaching 1,130 students.

We thank God for the good reports received on the impact of these programmes on the children’s lives. The teachers attest to the improvement of the school mean score, performance in CRE, and improved discipline among the Children.
