On August 15, 2025, the Bible Society of Kenya (BSK) held a prayer breakfast meeting to strengthen its work in the Embu County. The event brought together 86 Church leaders from 26 local Churches.
The meeting served as a platform to share information about the Society’s programmes and to pray for Bible work, the Church, the branch, and the Country.
The Church leaders were also informed about the availability of the Kiembu Bibles, which would be helpful for evangelism and preaching. They were encouraged to urge their congregations to purchase Kiembu Bible copies for personal Bible study.
The Chairman of the Embu branch Right Rev. Prof. Masamba expressed his gratitude to BSK for the breakfast, emphasizing that such gatherings help unite the clergy and foster collaboration in growing the Society’s presence within Embu County and its surrounding areas. Attendees were also encouraged to join BSK as members to further support its mission.
The General Secretary Mrs. Elizabeth Muriuki thanked all the Clergy for attending the meeting noting that their support will give BSK a platform to reach their congregations with its programmes. In addition, she noted that BSK is conducting a trauma healing programme to reach out to alcoholics in the area to help them to find hope in life.
