In a bid to help recovering drug addicts to regain hope in life, Bible Society of Kenya runs an alcoholism and substance abuse programme to offer support and encouragement to those affected.

The programme aims at restoring hope for affected family members through the word of God, counseling and support groups and referrals where rehabilitation is required.

The programme covers the following topics:

  Statistics and trends.
• How do I know if I am addicted to substance abuse.
• Causes of alcohol and drug abuse
• The effects of alcohol and alcohol abuse to the body
• Other effects of alcohol and drug abuse
• What the Bible says about those who drink alcohol
• How can I stop going back to the old ways
