The Society held a colourful graduation ceremony on December 11, 2025, for the Literacy for Women in Africa learners. The event was held at PAG Church Lodwar, where 748 adult learners were awarded certificates of completing and being equipped with basic literacy skills.
The event brought together learners, teachers, partners, and other like-minded stakeholders in the education sector. The event was graced with pomp and colour as learners from different centres also show cased their talents through singing of songs and testimonies for their achievement.
Some said they almost gave up along the way since the seven months were intense, varying from different occasions such as drought, political agitations that interfered with the learning progress long the way. What was most profound was that women can now conduct business, advocate about the importance of education both at home and in the community.
We thank God for our partners who have supported this project, ensuring that learners in Turkana are empowered.
