The Bible Society of Kenya successfully hosted a Bible Eagles Club Fun Day for children on Saturday, 8 August 2026.

More than 600 children from Nyeri town and surrounding areas attended the event at Nyeri Primary School in Nyeri County.

The Bible Eagles Club brings children ages 3 to 18 together in a fun, engaging environment to learn the Word of God. Through the event, children are taught Christian values they can understand and apply from an early age. The Bible Eagles Club Fun Day is anchored on Isaiah 40:31: “But those who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles.”

The children participated in a range of fun and engaging activities that helped them learn, express their talents, and interact with one another including; Bible study sessions, music, dancing, singing, memory verse recitals, poems, bouncing castles, essay writing and mentorship sessions for teens

The children had prepared for the activities and were eager to showcase their talents. Participants performed in various categories, with rewards provided by the Bible Society of Kenya in the different categories. The awards included Bibles, trophies, umbrellas and snacks. In addition, all the children who attended the event received the You Are Loved John portion, to remind them of God’s love and care for them.

Mr Thomas Tharao, Head of Business Development and Programmes at the Bible Society of Kenya, attended the event and commended the Churches for registering children to participate. He emphasized the importance of helping children know God and grow in faith from an early age.

Testimony

At just four years old, Belereen began attending the Bible Eagles Club Fun Day. Eleven years later, she is still part of the event—a powerful testimony to the lasting impact of nurturing children in God’s Word. This year, Belereen won a trophy for essay writing, an achievement that filled her with great joy. Her mother was equally grateful, expressing her excitement over the spiritual growth she has witnessed in her daughter over the years. She thanked the Bible Society of Kenya for giving children the opportunity to learn God’s Word and grow in faith from an early age.

We thank God for the opportunity to impart godly values to the next generation.
