To enhance spiritual nourishment among visually impaired children, the Bible Society of Kenya recently donated Braille Bibles to four institutions serving the visually impaired (VI) children within Baringo County.

This initiative aimed at achieving an inclusive ministry, ensuring that these students have resources to grow their faith. The schools include Emining Primary School for VI, Marigat Primary and Secondary Schools for VI and Moi Kabartonjo integrated primary school for VI.

The County has many children born blind or who have lost sight during their developmental stages, due to exposure to contaminated water caused by poor disposal of harmful metallic chemicals from various water sources.

A total of 280 learners received 313 volumes of full Braille Bibles in grade one and two in the Good News and Revised Standard versions. BSK also distributed eight audio torch Bibles in total with each school receiving two audio Bibles.

The teachers in all schools applauded BSK for taking such great initiative of equipping the schools with the ‘’greatest book of all time.’’ Our prayer is that the children’s lives will be positively impacted as they interact with God’s word.
