The Bible Society of Kenya (BSK) successfully held its Charity Golf Tournament at Limuru Country Club on Friday, 29 May 2026.
The tournament was part of BSK’s ongoing resource mobilization efforts in support of its mission: A people transformed by the Holy Scriptures.
The event brought together golfers, sponsors, supporters, and corporate partners for a day of sport, fellowship, networking, and fundraising, with the goal of making Scriptures available to children in marginalized communities across Kenya.
It is estimated that approximately 13 million children in Kenya do not have access to the message of the Bible because they cannot afford a copy. BSK seeks to bridge this gap by enabling children to access God’s Word, nurturing them to grow into morally upright and responsible citizens.
Participation included both individual golfers and corporate teams, who had an opportunity to network, support the cause, sponsor the event, and contribute towards the success of the day.
A total of 144 golfers registered for the tournament, with 122 participating on the day. The funds raised will make a meaningful contribution towards transforming children’s lives by providing access to Scripture and inspiring hope that extends to their families and communities.
Participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to support this noble cause of impacting the next generation through God’s Word and pledged their continued support for similar initiatives in the future. The winners in the different categories received gifts from BSK for their exceptional wins.
BSK General Secretary, Mrs Elizabeth Muriuki, thanked all participants for attending the tournament and for their generous support of BSK’s initiative. She also expressed sincere appreciation to the partners, sponsors, and the host, Limuru Country Club, for their contribution towards the success of the event.
