Eleven students from Potter House School, Grade 13, raised funds to support a Bible distribution initiative in a slum-prone area of Likii, Laikipia County. The project targeted two schools: Likii Comprehensive School with 795 students and Likii Senior School with 248 learners.

Between February and June 2026, the students organized a series of fundraising activities that raised funds to purchase Bibles for fellow students from marginalized backgrounds.

The idea began as a plan to make Bible distribution the school’s first-ever CSR initiative of its kind. Named Project 1844, the initiative draws inspiration from Joshua 1:8 and Matthew 4:4 . Project 1844 aimed to encourage deeper engagement with Scripture while fostering unity and purpose within the school community.

To raise funds, the students hosted a wide range of activities, including team-building games, teacher-and-student dress-up days, treasure hunts, water balloon fights, musical chairs, a candy jar guessing game, a bake sale and a family bike ride.

The distribution finally took place on 10th July 2026, with student representatives standing in for their classmates. The event was attended by three teachers and staff members from the Bible Society of Kenya.
