In an effort to foster peace in Kerio Valley, Bible Society of Kenya has partnered with Parklands Baptist Church to avail Bibles to schools and Conduct trauma healing sessions to Church leaders in the region that’s affected by banditry and cattle rustling.

The ‘love embraced programme’ is an initiative that aims at providing spiritual and emotional support to victims of insecurity in Kerio Valley.

We observed that many people are traumatized, some are orphans while others carry a lot of bitterness and fear in their hearts hence are not able to experience the fullness of life.

Elgeyo Marakwet County Governer Hon. Wisley Rotich applauded the move of the Bible Society of Kenya and Parklands Baptist Church adding that the approach of spreading love and hope will bring about peace in the region.

A total of 28 schools will benefit from the Bible distribution exercise in the region. Our hope is that the children will find hope from God’s word, their moral values will improve, and they will embrace love for each other and forgiveness for their enemies.
