The Bible Society of Kenya in partnership with the State Department for Children Services collaborated with the ACK Diocese of Mbeere and other partners to commemorate the International Day of Families at ACK St. Peter’s Cathedral in Siakago under the theme, “Families, Inequalities and Child Wellbeing.”
The event was held on May 15th, 2026, reaffirmed the shared responsibility of child protection and brought together Government officials, religious leaders, development partners, children, families, and community stakeholders in advancing child wellbeing and strengthening families.
The programme included the planting of commemorative trees, a Church service, and entertainment by various groups.
A team from the Bible Society of Kenya attended the event and had a chance to share the Word during the Church service, talk about programmes and also promote products.. The Kiembu Kimbeere Bible and Kikamba Bibles were offered at a discounted price to encourage the community to read the word of God in their language.
We are grateful for this partnership and look forward to strengthening collaboration with the government and the church to support stronger families.
