The Bible Society of Kenya successfully held the Bible Eagles Club Fun Day on 22 August 2026 at Ivona Primary School in Vihiga County.

The event was attended by over 200 children from different Churches in Vihiga County and its environs. Bible Eagles Club aims to bring children aged between 4–18 years together in a fun environment to learn the word of God.

The Bible Eagles Fun Day is inspired by Isaiah 40:31, which reminds believers that “they shall mount up with wings like eagles.” This theme encourages children to grow in faith, hope and resilience as they learn to trust in God. Through the programme, children are introduced to Christian values at an early age and guided on how to apply them in their daily lives.

Speaking during the event, the Vihiga Branch Chairman appreciated the Society’s support in making this event possible for the children of Vihiga County to learn God’s word in a fun environment. He noted that the branch looks forward to holding even bigger events in future.

The children were treated to an engaging programme that included music, dancing sessions, singing, poems, memory verses and mentorship sessions. These activities created a lively and welcoming atmosphere where the children could express their talents, build confidence and interact freely with one another. Through the mentorship sessions, they were also encouraged to grow in their faith, embrace positive values and apply the lessons learnt in their daily lives.

Children who excelled in the different categories were awarded gifts from BSK as a way of appreciating their participation, effort and confidence during the activities. The awards encouraged the children to continue nurturing their talents and taking part in Bible-based programmes that strengthen their spiritual growth. In addition, all participants received the You are Loved John portion, which served as a meaningful reminder of God’s love for them. The Scripture portions also provided an opportunity for the children to continue reading and reflecting on God’s word beyond the Fun Day.

BSK appreciates the Vihiga Branch officials, volunteers, teachers, parents and all partners who worked tirelessly to make the event a success. Their commitment and support helped create a memorable and impactful Fun Day, leaving the children encouraged, inspired and reminded of God’s love. The Society looks forward to continued partnership in nurturing young lives through God’s word.
