Bible Society of Kenya joined the United Bible Societies (UBS) on May 9th, 2022, to pray for Bible work globally.
United Bible Societies is a Fellowship of Bible Societies working in more than 240 countries and territories to make the Bible available to everyone.
The UBS day of prayer is held each year on May 9th by Bible Societies globally. On this day Bible Societies join with churches, staff, members, and other stakeholders to pray for Bible ministry in their own country and the ministry of Bible Societies around the world.
BSK marked this prayer day virtually on Zoom. The event was attended by Church leaders, members, staff, UBS staff in Nairobi, Council members and other supporters of Bible work, who participated in praying for different aspects of Bible work including Bible translation projects, Bible advocacy programmes and their impact, staff, council members, general elections, and the nation.
The special day was held on the anniversary of the founding of the UBS Fellowship in 1946 hence it was the 76th anniversary of the fellowship.
