A time to read God’s Word

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6(NKJV).

The Society continues to equip children with God’s word through the Open Book Programme that uses drama to narrate Bible stories to children.

On November 1st, 2022, 195 children aged 7-10 years from Potter’s House School benefited from the Open the Book Programme (OTB). The children were engaged through dramatization of Bible stories and Bible Trivia. The stories were acted from the Lion Story teller book based on the story of Moses and Joseph, acted by volunteers from Deliverance Church South City who wore unique costumes that represented the different Bible characters so that the stories would be relatable to the children.

The School Director Ms. Lenne Wahoro appreciated the Bible Society of Kenya’s efforts in partnering with them to engage children in God’s Word noting that this is an investment that will last for generations to come.

The climax was awarding the Luke gospel to the children and the book of John for Bible trivia winners.

We thank God for the opportunity to share His word with the children and trust that they will grow to be a Godly generation who will impact lives in future.
