Bible Society of Kenya has taken up the bold step of reaching out to children in marginalized schools in Kenya with the Word of God through Bible distribution as part of her Bible engagement initiative. The Bibles are a great transformative tool to mentor and grow children in the knowledge of God’s Word. This results in morally upright and responsible leaders who become agents of change in their communities. The Bibles already distributed have positively impacted the children, their families, and schools. Our target is to raise funds to avail Bibles to children in Samburu, Baringo, Makueni and Elgeyo Marakwet counties. We invite you to partner with us as we change this generation, one child at a time.
In our last dinner held in 2023, we raised Kes.1.045 million which helped to avail Bibles and other Scriptures to children in Elgeyo Marakwet. So far, a total of 74,827 scripture materials, 14,182 being full Bibles in 195 schools in 5 counties have been distributed in 2023, 2024 and first half of 2025. Makueni County has 325,000 school age children and most have no access to God’s life changing Word.
In May 2023, BSK distributed Bibles to 10,162 children and youth in 32 marginalized schools in Mbooni East and part of Kibwezi sub-counties in Makueni County. More recently from 8th to 12th September 2025 BSK distributed 4,800 full Bibles and Scripture materials to 46 schools in Mbooni West sub-county. This effort highlights the significant need for Bibles among school-going children in the County.
The task is far from over, with more many more children still not able to access a Bible. It is in this regard that we are inviting our partners, churches, well wishers to join us in this noble task of transforming lives through Bible distribution. Your donation of any amount will go a long way in bring us closer to achieving our target.
To escalate the distribution, we have organized a fundraising dinner to be held at Movenpick Hotel, Westlands on Friday 3rd October 2025 from 6.00 p.m. Charges are Kes.6,000 per person and Kes.50,000 for a table of 8 people.
